From the volcanic soils of Santorini to the mountainous vineyard massifs of Northern Greece – Greek winemaking combines thousands of years of history with modern quality. This evening we will discover local varieties and styles that are increasingly attracting the attention of wine lovers around the world.
During the tasting, we will enjoy a carefully selected range of Greek wines, paired with specially chosen bites inspired by traditional Mediterranean cuisine and the characteristic flavours of the region.
Evening Highlights:
- Get acquainted with varieties such as Assyrtiko, Xinomavro, Agiorgitiko and Malagousia;
- Learn why the volcanic vineyards of Santorini are among the most unique in the world;
- Understand how the ancient Greeks influenced the development of wine culture in Europe;
- Discover the different wine regions of modern Greece;
- Hear stories about Greek cuisine, traditions, and wine heritage.
The tasting will be hosted by WSET Level 3 certified lecturers, who will share interesting facts, practical knowledge, and fascinating stories about the wines and the region.
